Second Video

I've been thinking about seeing.

Thanks for seeing me—and for all the connection that followed last week's video.

You’ve had me thinking about what it means to see and be seen. It reminded me of this quote from Annie Dillard in Pilgrim at Tinker Creek:

“I’ve been thinking about seeing. There are lots of ways to go about seeing. There’s seeing what you expect to see. That’s common. It’s how we walk around in the world. But then there’s seeing what’s really there.”

Do you feel seen and known for who you truly are?
And are there parts of you waiting to be more fully seen—even by yourself?

Thanks as always for reading, listening, and now watching! To read and/or listen from the beginning go to Why I'm Writing.
